One of my favourite things to do has always been and still is going to see animals. Wether it be a petting zoo, sanctuary or just viweing. I love taking my two boys to these great places to visit, pet and learn about animals and more.

It is our mission to ensure the animals who come to live out the remainder of their lives with us are surrounded by love, dignity, and the respect they richly deserve. The Sanctuary Farm, and our satellite Foster Farms, have provided a safe home for rescued animals for more than 17 years. We are a not-for-profit charity, funded entirely by private donations.

Animals are cute, cuddly and irresistable, but they are also a lot of work. There are a ton of animals that need help and loving homes. Help your child learn responsibility, what it takes to take care of an animal and of course have fun by volunteering.

Guelph Humane Society

Basic Requirements for Volunteers:

  1. Volunteers must be able to commit to the minimum term of the role in which they are applying for. Please see minimum term per role. Remember it’s not only the staff that rely on you, it’s the animals!

  2. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to work alone. There are some limitations regarding Volunteers working alone under the age of 18yrs.

  3. The Minimum age to volunteer is 14 years old and must be supervised at all times by a parent or guardian and commit to the time requirement of the position applying for.

If you match all the above, the next step is to choose how you want to spend your time.

Which sounds the most rewarding way to you?
